+++ Bikegarden Radstadt – The curios bike garden of Radstadt +++
“Radstadt” means in english “Wheel-City” – the name says it all! In addition to the international Amadé Bike Marathon, the Enns bike path and a fantastic network of cycling and mountain bike trails, we have extended our offer for cyclists by a “bike garden” along the city wall. It exhibits 10 strange bicycles of various sizes and was set up in collaboration with bicycle designer Dieter Senf, who is based in Storkow near Berlin. They include several of the 17 objects that have earned him entry into the Guinness Book of Records, such as the longest bike, the largest wedding ricksha, football tricycle, run bike and wheelbarrow. The sixty two year-old metal worker, artist and inventor is most famous for his performance as “tour devil” at the Tour de France He has a total of 200 bicycle curiosities, which are all in working order and are on display at his Storkow museum. A special Radstadt-bike was designed for the exhibit in Radstadt and functions as the city’s southern welcome sign. A world record holding bike is set up at the city square and points the way to the 75 meter distant bike garden. Visitors can see the displayed objects in action online by scanning their respective QR-codes. The bike garden, situated right on the walkway around the city wall, is lighted and can be viewed by night. So in Radstadt “Wheel-City” it’s all about bikes.

Through the “butchers-hole” you reach the new designed city square. On the way there will be brass music at the southern city wall.
